About Radio Zurisee
Radio Zurisee was formed in the 1990s as a typical FM station. After a hiatus from traditional radio, the old online Radio Zurisee resurfaced, airing live streaming of music of all genres, from pop to dance music, rock to Italian music of today and yesterday. Radio Zurisee’s diverse programming will appeal to aficionados of Latin American music as well as folk music.
Radio Zürisee, launched on 1 November 1983, was one of the pioneering private radio stations in Switzerland, breaking away from the government-owned radio monopoly. In 2008, the station achieved another milestone when it secured permission to station a correspondent at the Bundeshaus by the Swiss government. As a result, Bundeshaus Radio now broadcasts sessions from the Swiss parliament assembly to all 16 private radio stations in the capital city. Radio Zürisee continues to provide alternative and diverse programming, offering listeners a unique perspective on local and national news and events.
